Virat Kohli Shared His Pulsating Cricket Moments While Calling The Three Format Captaincy As “Surreal”

Virat Kohli, the new cricket sensation and who is holding the commands of Indian cricket right now has called it quite “surreal” directing all the three formats (test, ODI and T20) of the game.

The right handed skipper explained it like, “It is quite surreal. I never thought this day is going to come to my life. When I came to the team, I was always looking to perform, get more opportunities and build solid consistent career and contribute to the team in winning games”.

Earlier, kohli was in charge of commanding the test part of the game and after last week When MS Dhoni vacated the space, Kohli was chosen as T20 and ODI skipper.

After inaugurating the Nirtesh Hub Mall in Pune, the Delhi dweller had words with Mandira Bedi and when probed that how does it feel to be the skipper in all the three formats, he expressed about his unimaginable feelings and achievements. he said it like, “I feel everything is God sent. Anything happens to you, happens for a reason and happens at a right time in your life,”

Kohli has excellently proved his leadership skills in colts World Cup 2008 in India’s U-19 team.
He also expressed that being captain in under junior level teams has been his forte.

He also revealed that, “But being captain of India is whole different ball game all together. As they mention it, it is the hot seat in all different ways such as the attention, the praise, criticisms, all these things come along with it”.
Kohli talked about his game changes and challenges quite openly this time and expressed, “The way I came up in my career is similar. I knew my strengths and weaknesses but people did not like me as such. They were not too pleased with the way I presented myself, the way I was.

“My mistakes were not acceptable. That always gave me a mindset of doing things my way and finding a way to make it work, as there is no one way to do anything. You can have different ways, you can have different style till your intent is good”.

Who knew, once a juvenile player will be so wise about his game preaching and would make his own pathway.

When asked about his best advice, he said, “When I approached Sachin Tendulkar about my game, the advice I got from was to believe in your own game and believe in the way you want to prepare and do not follow someone and that helped and from that onwards, I was really comfortable”.
