Tea is the most popular drink to feed your soul with energy and the research also says that there are almost two billion people in the world who drinks tea. A good cup of tea or “kadak chai” always overpowers coffee while the both has maintained their places with due respect. Tea soothes the brain, body, system and triggers it up to some next level.

But what about tea without milk? Not a nice idea, but it reflects that benefits of tea are demolished  by adding a drop of milk in tea. A small study which was conducted on 16 women, effects of tea on their vascular system was compared on tea with water and tea with milk. They found that tea relaxes blood vessels (improves flow-mediated dilation), but tea with milk does not. Researchers believe that the most likely explanation is that the caseins, proteins found in milk, form complexes with catechins in tea, its most important flavonoids. Interestingly, they found that proteins in soy milk have the same effect.

The results were surprising where we fail in suppressing the milk addition, as compromising with food and drinks is a big milestone to achieve. However, if you live healthy and happy the results are magical. Indian tea vendors sell tea at the local thadis which attract any local to deduce the rising stress of the day just by sipping a refreshing cup of tea. So, if you can ignore that milk filled tea, you may benefit your health a lot. Moreover, the sustainable option that lets you make an instant tea is indeed a black tea. So what will be your choice?
