The ace shuttler and World Championship silver medalist, Saina Nehwal regained her position back to No.1 ahead of Carolina Marim with 2180 points. The double delight on Thursday for Saina came with her No. 1 position in the World badminton rankings and signing a star-struck deal of 25 Cr with management company IOS sports and entertainment.

Saina Nehwal who is an ace player in badminton and has given us moments of pride was first managed by a newspaper and then switched to Rhiti sports and management, which manages MS Dhoni. Not satisfied by her portfolio management she has now shifted her grounds to IOS. Saina has belief in the strength of the company, as IOS is connected with ace sportsperson like Suresh Raina, MC Mary Kom, Sushil Kumar and Vijender Singh.

IOS has concluded a deal of 25 crore with Saina, and looking forward to her performance in the 2016 Rio Olympics. Her consistent management of ranking also plays a significant role here. The double treat that Saina bagged and is still celebrating the silver medal, won at the World Championship in Jakarta, and after that made news for her 25 crore deal.

From now, IOS will manage Saina’s endorsements, appearances, brand profiling, social accounts, images, licensing and digital rights. The Olympic bronze medalist said on this moment of ecstasy “I have been performing well in the international circuit but at the same time I was looking for a sports management group that could manage my overall brand portfolio and logistics plus commercial activities in the best professional way,”.
