The recent feud between former Indian cricketers S Sreesanth and Gautam Gambhir took a bitter turn when Sreesanth commented on Gambhir’s Instagram post, branding him as “arrogant and lacking class.”
Earlier, Gambhir had shared a picture of himself donning the Indian jersey with a caption that indirectly alluded to the ongoing tension with Sreesanth. This episode stemmed from an incident during the Legends League match between India Capitals and Gujarat Giants.
In response, Sreesanth accused Gambhir of crossing the line, criticizing him for engaging in conflicts with fellow cricketers and resorting to name-calling, including the term “fixer.” Sreesanth alleged that Gambhir repeatedly used offensive language towards him and the umpires during the match.
Expressing disappointment in Gambhir’s behavior, Sreesanth claimed that Gambhir’s derogatory comments and provocative actions on the field were unwarranted. He also mentioned Gambhir’s absence from the field after the incident, implying that his conduct was unacceptable.
Irfan Pathan, another former Indian cricketer, responded to Sreesanth’s post, expressing agreement with his sentiments.
Sreesanth elaborated further on the incident in an Instagram live video, claiming that Gambhir had repeatedly used derogatory language, including the term “fixer,” both on live television and in front of the umpires during the match.
Sreesanth clarified that he did not respond with any offensive language, only expressing disbelief and laughing sarcastically in response to Gambhir’s remarks.
