Back in 2014 when 10th largest Smartphone seller in the world, Micromax partnered with another good company named Cyanogen Inc the end product that we Indians received is the new brand called YU.
YU as a mobile phone brand has had a competitive start whether be its affordable prices or back to back phone launches in the market. It’s been gaining a good name for most positive reasons.
Today was the launch of another new variant of smart phone called Yunicorn. But sources state that the launch has been rescheduled and the new date is said to be announced as 31st of May. What made the brand to postpone the launch is still not known to the public.
Except this the latest news regarding YU as a brand is known to be its parting with the initial partner Cyanogen. YU CEO Rahul Sharma said that “CyanogenOS didn’t give any traction to YU devices, and that the custom OS also came with its share of bugs. The company also launched a couple of smartphones running on stock Android, which users preferred more over the ones running on CyanogenOS.”
Guesses can be pitched in regarding the rescheduling of Yunicorn’s launch but it is better to wait till 31st to witness what the brand has planned for its customers next. As apart from the latest phone to be powered by MediaTek’s Helio X10 octa-core processor paired with 4GB of RAM and an Android 6.0 Marshmallow as the OS are only revealed facts about it.
