The movie revolves around a woman warrior who puts country love above any other kind of love. It is the most anticipated movie of the year and is an upcoming Indian period thriller film and is an adaptation of Harinder Sikka’s novel Calling Sehmat. It starres Alia Bhatt and Vicky Kaushal in lead roles.
Directed by Meghna Gulzar and produced by Vineet Jain, Karan Johar, Hiroo Yash Johar and Apoorva Mehta under the banner of Dharma Productions. The film is set in the backdrop of Indo-Pakistani War of 1971. It is about an Indian spy married to a Pakistani military officer. Alia Bhatt plays the role of ‘Sehmati’ and Vicky Kaushal as ‘Iqbal’.
The music and background score of the film is composed by Shankar–Ehsaan–Loy while Gulzar has done a tremendous job in the lyrics department. The song which has caught attention is the “Ae Watan”. What’s interesting is that the song also contains the national prayer of Pakistan. The movie makers have sure done a good job to perfect the look and feel of the movie!
