Swachh Survekshan Grameen 2018
On the basis of quantitative and qualitative sanitation (Swachhata) parameters, the “Swachh Survekshan Grameen 2018” is being undertaken. Under this survey, the States and Districts will be ranked for their sanitation and cleanliness status. This survey is carried out by the Ministry of Drinking Water and Sanitation (MDWS). These parameters include solid waste management, use of infrastructure, district-level surveys of public places like schools, anganwadis, haat bazaars and citizen’s perception of Swachhata. The best performing States and Districts will be awarded on birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi i.e. 2nd October, 2018.
