In these areas, the IMD issued a warning about heavy to very heavy rains and strong winds of up to 150 km/h.

The Maharashtra government has proactively begun clearing individuals from the beachfront areas of Mumbai and Thane. In these areas, the state government has set up 1,000 relief camps and is feeding and watering the people who have been evacuated.Ships and aircraft from the Indian Navy have been sent to aid in the rescue and relief efforts. A control room has also been set up by the Navy to oversee rescue and relief efforts, and people have been urged to remain calm and cooperate with government authorities. In addition, the government stated that all measures are being taken to guarantee people’s safety.
