On Tuesday, Salman Khan held a press conference in Mumbai. The actor discussed the recent box office failures of Bollywood films and stated that he has been stating for a long time that “Hindi films are not working.” Salman elaborated on why he believes this to be the case while discussing today’s ‘too cool’ filmmakers. He also called their ‘knowledge of India’ into doubt.

Aside from last year’s Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2, Brahmastra: Part One – Shiva and Drishyam 2, and Shah Rukh Khan’s current release, Pathaan, several Bollywood films have underperformed since the Covid-19 crisis. Salman was asked about this at a recent occasion when he mentioned filmmakers not making enough money.

After speaking about filmmakers not creating the right films, Salman was questioned about this at a recent event.

“I’ve been saying for a long time that our Hindi films are failing. Galat picture banaoge toh kaise chalegi (How will they work if you produce bad movies)? Today’s filmmakers have a distinct perspective on India. They believe it runs from Andheri to Colaba. The filmmakers I’ve met and connected with are just too cool. They create that type of stuff. Hindustan, on the other hand, is a very other story. “They begin to the east of the railway stations,” Salman was cited as stating in a recent media encounter by ETimes.

“I hope my words don’t come back to bite me,” Salman continued. Bhari nahi padhna chaiye (No one should ask what type of film I created). It (Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan) comes out on April 21st, and I hope everyone enjoys it.”

Salman was most recently seen in a cameo role in Shah Rukh Khan’s Pathaan. Radhe (2021), his most recent picture as a star, bombed at the box office. Salman is now preparing for his forthcoming film, Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan, in which he will star alongside Pooja Hegde.

Venkatesh, Jagapathi Babu, Shehnaaz Gill, and Palak Tiwari appear in supporting roles in the action film directed by Farhad Samji and produced by Salman Khan Films. Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan was launched under the Kabhi Eid Kabhi Diwali title in January 2020. However, the film’s actual title was confirmed in August 2022 as Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan.
