Arvind Kejriwal, the chief minister of Delhi, lashed out at the BJP-ruled central government on Thursday after wrestlers claimed the Delhi Police insulted and misbehaved with them, claiming the “arrogant” Bharatiya Janata Party wants to control the whole system with “hooliganism.”

The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) chief urged citizens to “not only uproot the BJP but drive them out.”

Shocked and disgusted by the Delhi Police’s rude treatment of protesting wrestlers late Wednesday evening, sobbing star wrestler Vinesh Phogat stated they were not criminals and did not deserve such treatment.

“If you want to kill us, then kill us,” a sobbing Vinesh stated during a late-night media interview.

“Did we win medals so the country could witness this day?” We haven’t even finished our meal. Is it OK for every male to mistreat women? “These cops have guns, they can kill us,” an emotionally depleted Vinesh remarked.

“Where were the female cops?” How could the male police push us so hard? We do not commit crimes. We are not deserving of such treatment. “A drunken police officer hit my brother,” the World Championship medalist explained.

In response to Phogat’s media contact footage, Kejriwal tweeted, “Such misbehavior with the country’s champion players…? This is both sad and humiliating…These folks (BJP) want to run the entire system through hooliganism. They have rendered the entire system ineffective.”

“I appeal to all the people of the country…no more…do not tolerate the BJP’s hooliganism, the time has come to uproot and chase them away,” he wrote in Hindi.

Swati Maliwal, the chairperson of the Delhi Commission for Women (DCW), came to the Jantar Mantar on Thursday morning to express her solidarity for the protesting wrestlers, claimed she was not permitted to access the protest venue.

“Wrestlers Vinesh Phogat and Sakshi Malik told us they were tortured, and there were drunken police officers who misbehaved with them.” I’m worried about their safety. Why is the Delhi Police defending Brij Bhushan? “Why isn’t he being arrested by the Delhi Police?” According to Swati Maliwal.
