Today is a day of enthusiasm and tomorrow will be full of hope: Gehlot

In reference to the newly created 17 districts, Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot stated on Tuesday that 2017 Independence Day is “a day of new hope” for the state.

Gehlot said in his speech on the 77th Independence Day, “Today is a day of enthusiasm, tomorrow will be full of hopes.”

He stated that by continuing down the path of non-violence, the nation has maintained its robust democracy, and it is now our collective duty to safeguard it. He asserted that the state government is dedicated to fostering social and economic equality in the state and to the peoples’ overall development in accordance with the Indian Constitution. By implementing the policy directives, the government is operating.

At the state-level Independence Day event in Jaipur’s Sawai Man Singh Stadium, Gehlot raised the flag of the United States.

The Mukhyamantri Nishulk Annapurna Food Packet Scheme was then introduced by Gehlot. Gehlot remarked during the scheme’s inauguration at Birla Auditorium that the state government is making decisions with the goal of giving the average person the most assistance possible, and that this is now a topic of discussion across the nation. “The schemes brought in the public interest are not revdis (freebies), but a democratic government has a responsibility towards the common people,” the chief minister remarked.

By giving the program’s beneficiaries food packets, Gehlot officially launched it. Each food packet contains 100 grammes of chilli, 1 litre of refined soybean oil, 1 kg of gramme pulses, sugar, and iodized salt.

According to Gehlot, the plan is a step in the direction of the goal that “no one should sleep hungry in the state.”
