1. Dangal
The movie Dangal is one of the most anticipated movies of 2016, although Mr. Perfectionist Aamir Khan was badly surrounded on ‘Intolerance’ comment, which adversely affected his fan following and business speculation of the Movie. Dangal which is expected to hit theaters in Christmas this year, is a Biographical Drama of an Indian wrestler under the Direction of Nitesh Tiwari. The movie will also feature Sakshi Tanwar against Aamir Khan, other cast of movie includes Rajkumar Rao, Fatima Sana Sheikh and Vikram Singh.
2. Mohenjo Daro
After the immense success of Jodhaa Akbar released in 2008, Ashutosh Gowarikar has came up with another Indian Epic adventure and romance full movie Mohenjo Daro, expected to be theaters in August 2016. The Director and Producer has once again casted Hrithik Roshan for this project, this movie has already created buzz among the viewers, which again pointing towards a grand success of Film. The director has signed Pooja Hegde for the role opposite to Hrithik Roshan. Other casts of this movie include Kabir Bedi, Arunoday Singh, Kishori Shahane, Casey Frank, Manish Choudhary, Diganta Hazarika.
3. Sultan
The year 2015 has been grand for Salman Khan who came out with two most successful movies of the year. With Movie Sultan being one highly anticipated movie of 2016, will be in theaters on Eid this year. Salman has every reason to be happy about this movie, as has been freed from long awaited Hit and Run case. The actor has transformed into a brand new getup for the movie, in which he will be playing a triple role. This action pack drama comes from the direction of Ali Abbas Zafar, who also gave Bollywood movies like Badmaash Company, Tashan, Mere Brother Ki Dulhan and most recently Gunday. Another big name associated with this movie is actress Rekha.
4. Azhar
Azhar is a movie based on Former Indian Captain Mohammad Azharuddin, is another Biopic movie which was announced in 2015 and grabbed good attention from the audiences on internet. The movie will be in theater by May this year, created under direction of Tony D’Souza is casting Emraan Hashmi, Prachi Desai, Nargis Fakhri, Huma Qureshi and Gautam Gulati who is also a winner of Big Boss Season 8. The movie is jointly produced by Ekta Kapoor, Shobha Kapoor, N.P Singh and Sneha Rajani. Let’s see what does it has for its viewers in year 2016.
5. Baaghi
After the average performance of Debut movie ‘Heropanti’, Tiger Shroff will be seen in Shabbir Khan’s Movie Baaghi – an action movie to be released in April this year. The movie is an official remake of Telgu Movie Varsham released back in 2004. The production house of Sajid Nadiadwala has hired a special team of 50 people to keep Shroff’s look under wraps, as the role is very different from that of ‘Heropanti’. The film is featuring Tiger Shroff, Shradha Kapoor and Paras Arora in lead role, while Niel Nitin Mukesh and Zayed Khan is negative shade. Ronit Roy and Sudheer Babu comprises of other supportive casts for movie.
6. Airlift
Airlift – A thriller Movie based on world’s largest evacuation of Indians in City of Kuwait, during Gulf war between Kuwait and Iraq. This movie lead by Akshay Kumar and Nimrat Kaur also has one of the highest paid Hollywood actors Tom Cruise as a cast. The joint production of Nikhil Advani and Bhushan Kumar is directed by Raja Krishna Menon, has music of melodious composer Ankit Tiwari and Amaal Malik. Views will not have to wait for long to watch this film, as it is scheduled to be released on January only.
7. Raees
Shah Rukh Khan lead movie Raees will portray ‘King of Romance’ in another action thriller of the year. The fact which is more exiting is both Shah Rukh Khan and Salman Khan will once again meet a clash on theater, as ‘Raees’ is also scheduled alongside of Salman Khan’s ‘Sultan’ on Eid this year. In this film Mahira Khan a Pakistani Actress will mark her entry into the Bollywood. The movie narrates story of a cruel and clever bootlegger whose business is thwarted by a tough policeman. Other than King Khan, the movie has Farhan Akhtar, Abdul Ahad Asif and Nawazudin Siddiqui as a cast. Film is produced under the banner of Excel Entertainment and Red Chilies Entertainment is directed by Rahul Dholakia. It is again one the most anticipated movie of the year 2016.
8. Ae Dil Hai Mushkil
Year 2015 was not much profitable for Karan Johar who has came out with number of flops during the year. However the Director is now working on Ae Dil Hai Mushkil, which is again a Romantic Musical Drama from the Director. Karan after several failed attempts has casted Ashwarya rai Bachchan for the movie, along with Ranbir Kapoor and Anushka Sharma. Both Anushka and Ranbir were seen in Bombay Velvet, which miserably failed to impress audience and critics. But Karan chooses to stick with the duo for his next project, which will be screened during June this year. In the word of Karan Johar “it is not a conventional love story or love triangle. It’s a film that dwells deeply on relationships, heartbreaks and how love completes you, defines you and yet leaves you wanting for more. I have never had, in my entire career, a film that has come to me so fast, so organically and so from within.”
9. Fitoor
Fitoor – an another romantic movie based on a novel of English author Charles Dickens’ Novel ‘Great Expectation’. In this movie Aditya Roy Kapoor and Katrina Kaif will be seen together, while other supportive cast of movie includes Tabu who has been casted as a replacement of Rekha, Rahul Bhatt Aditi Rao Hydari and Akshay Oberoi will be in some other supporting casts of the movie. The makers have scheduled to screen this movie in February this year.
10. Udta Punjab
Udta Punjab is another movie scheduled for 2016, based on substance abuse of Indian state of Punjab, produced under the banner of Balaji Motion Pictures and Phantom Films It is after 8 years that Kareena Kapoor Khan and Shahid Kapoor will be casted for same movie, but the duo do not share screen space in the movie, which is like an American Hustle and everyone has different track in this movie. A thriller movie Udta Punjab is directed by Abhishek Chaubey, which will be in theater by January this year.
11. Sanam Re
Sanam Re is a romantic musical drama directed by Divya Khosla Kumar who is about to release her second movie as a director, while the first one was ‘Yaariyan’ released in 2014. The ‘Fukre’ movie fame Pulkit Samrat and Yami Gautam will be seen together in this movie. It is again co-produced by Bhushan Kumar, Krishan Kumar and Ajay Devgan, which has already up on chart with trailer released on 17th December 2015, over 2 months before its scheduled release date on 12th February.
12. Shhuddhi
Shhuddhi is again the most anticipated movie of 2016, which would be screening Alia Bhatt and Varun Dhawan. The movie is directed by Karan Malhotra. It will be second movie which is associated with Karan Johar, but as a producer this time. However, tentative release month is not yet been disclosed by the makers, but it is very much expected to be in cinemas by this year only.
