When will Pakistan Learn? India will have to Take Strict Steps in Order to Teach them a Lesson.

Pakistan military has proved once again that they do not deserve the mercy of Indian troops. One BSF jawan from India was martyred, several soldiers and civilians were injured this morning, as Pakistani rangers violated the ceasefire, urging heavy mortar shelling and firing along the International border(IB)  from Suchetgarh (RS Pura sector) to Pargwal (Akhnoor sector) in Jammu district. The deceased Border Security Force (BSF) officer was identified as Head Constable Sushil Kumar of Pahova, Kurukshetra (Haryana). The rate at which Indian commandos are attaining martyrdom, it’s a matter of serious concern for the Centre that finds itself at the crossroads on this issue.

Highlights:

  • Arun Kumar, Additional Director General, BSF warned Pakistani troops to stay in line after they killed Sepoy Gurnam Singh, this Friday.
  • Indian officers avenged Singh’s death by killing 7 Pakistani rangers on Friday.
  • Pakistani troops attacked Indian check posts twice on Sunday evening at 6:20pm and 9:45pm. No losses were incurred on both sides.
  • Indian troops hit back with intense firing until Pakistani guns fell silent at midnight.
  • Head Constable Susheel Kumar was martyred and three others were injured in this firing.

Pakistani Troops Went Haywire While Targeting Civilian Areas Along the IB

Over 25 border outposts and neighbouring residential areas were blown up in a fresh round of intense Pakistan firing after a two hours lull, as reported by the BSF officers. Pakistani soldiers fired small and automatic firearms and shelled mortar bombs in Arnia, RS Pura, Kanachak and Suchetgarh sub-sectors last night. Consequently, the areas situated within 20 kilometre radius were shaken up and the population remained indoors, waiting for the firing to cease.

Indian troops guarding IB hit back aggressively at Pakistani soldiers, losing Constable Susheel Kumar in the process. Two natives were injured in this attack. The wounded villagers were identified as Krishna Devi of Treva and Parkasho Devi of Gajanso. The officials also reported the loss of cattle and property. But, the government is yet to confirm the extent of damage suffered by villagers.

This isn’t all. Pakistani rangers have breached ceasefire earlier on Sunday at 6:20 pm and 9:45pm. Avoiding the border patrol vehicles, they launched fresh attacks in Tube Well No. 5, Abdullian and Korotana Khurdh, using 82mm mortar shells.

Ignoring the warnings sent by Indian BSF officers, Pakistani soldiers assaulted 13 outposts in Jammu on Friday. Their attempt of transferring terrorists across the border into Bobiyan, Hira Nagar sector in Jammu was foiled by martyr Gurnam Singh, who killed one of the infiltrators along international border. Singh was rushed to Government Medical College Hospital, Jammu, finally succumbing to his death on account of grave injuries.  Following Singh’s death, Indian soldiers retaliated, killing one terrorist and seven Pakistani rangers on Friday night.

Though Indian forces attempted to keep Pakistan in check, the retaliatory action is not enough in terms of national security. The authorities need to reinforce security measures along Indo-Pak borders to prevent such happenings in the future.
