The speedy delivery service Zepto’s co-founders Kaivalya Vohra and Aadit Palicha have joined the IIFL Wealth-Hurun India Rich List 2022 as its youngest entrepreneurs. Kaivalya, one of the richest Indians, is the youngest at 19 years old. On the Hurun list, Kaivalya is rated 1036 with a net worth of 1,000 crore. Aadit Palicha is 950th on the list and is worth $1,200,000,000.

They have previously been listed in the prestigious “30 under 30 (Asia list)” of Forbes magazine in the e-commerce category.

The Hurun India Future Unicorn Index 2022 lists both of these young business owners as the youngest start-up founders. Vohra and Palicha’s presence on the list of India’s wealthiest people demonstrates the growing impact of the nation’s entrepreneurs.

“A teen makes their list debut! Kaivalya Vohra, the 19-year-old founder of Zepto, is the youngest person on the list. The youngest was 37 10 years ago; today, they are 19; this shows the influence of the startup revolution, according to the Hurun India Rich List.

Stanford University students Vohra and Palicha later quit their computer science course to focus on business. In 2021, the two friends founded Zepto in response to the growing need for contactless and speedy delivery of necessities during the pandemic.

In 2018, Palicha created the student carpooling business GoPool at the age of 17, thereby beginning his entrepreneurial career. He was the project lead at PryvaSee, an artificial intelligence-based privacy project, before starting his own business.

The two buddies from childhood, who grew up in Dubai, first started the business Kiranakart, an online platform that sent groceries from Mumbai-area shops. From June 2020 to March 2021, it was in use. After that, they introduced Zepto in April 2021 and in November completed the first investment round, raising $60 million.

The rapid grocery delivery service platform raised an additional $100 million in December at a valuation of $570 million. In May of this year, Zepto raised $200 million at a valuation of $900 million in its most recent round of fundraising.
