Australia and Team India will square off on September 23 in Nagpur.

On Wednesday, Australia completed their second-highest chase in T20I cricket. The first T20I match between the T20 world champions and India took place in Mohali, where they reached this milestone.

With four balls remaining and four wickets in hand, Australia completed the 209-run mark that India had set for them. The visitors greatly benefited from hits from Cameron Green (61), Steve Smith (35), and Matthew Wade (45*) as they successfully chased down the mark with a strong batting performance in the last overs.

The highest run chase by Australia, against New Zealand, was 244 runs in February 2018. With the help of outstanding performances from Martin Guptill (105) and Colin Munro, New Zealand amassed 243/6 in their 20 overs (76). However, Australia was able to reach the target with seven balls remaining thanks to quickfire runs from Glenn Maxwell (31) and Aaron Finch (36*), as well as the then-skipper David Warner (59) and D’Arcy Short (76).
