Air India expects its first operating profit in 8 years worth Rs 8 crore!

Parliament on Tuesday morning was informed that the famous ‘Air India’ airline is expecting an operational profit of 8 crore in the present fiscal year. This would be the first time since ‘Indian Airline’ merged into ‘Air India’ that the brand is expecting an operational profit.

Let us tell you this is the first operational profit expected by Air India in the past 8 years. Mahesh Sharma, the Minister of State for Civil Aviation replied to the Rajya Sabha saying “Air India is expected to earn operating profit of Rs.8 crore as compared to the operating loss of Rs.2,636.18 crore in the previous year. This is the first time that the company is going to achieve operating profit since its merger in 2007-08.”

The minister said that they revised the estimates of 2015-16 and as per them Air-India expects post substantial improvements compared to the previous years. Since 2012, the government has always been supportive and since 2012 it has provided assistance of worth rupees 30231 crore.

Lately the Air India officials have also decided to finally change their menu that had not been changed in the past 10 years.

It seems like the team has decided to take the facilities and development of the airline to a higher notch.
