One of the highest-paid actors in Bollywood, Akshay Kumar, has apparently once again been recognised by the Income Tax authorities as the nation’s “highest taxpayer.”

The Income Tax Department has awarded Akshay Kumar with an honorary certificate, which has been doing the rounds online.

A member of social media stated, “Haters claim that despite not being a global celebrity, not having the HGOTY, having a little amount of BB, being Canadian, and many other things, he is still paying more in income taxes than the rest of the business since the past five years. My favourite.”

One more person tweeted, “Superstar @akshaykumar has been recognised by the Income Tax Department with a Samman Patra and is now known as the top taxpayer in the Hindi film industry. Before labelling him Canadian, haters must understand this.”

The movie “Raksha Bandhan,” which is slated to be out on August 11, will have Bhumi Pednekar and Akshay in a co-starring role. The film, which was written and directed by Himanshu Sharma and Kanika Dhillon, is a collaboration between Cape Of Good Films, Zee Studios, Colour Yellow Productions, and Alka Hiranandani. The filming was finished in Delhi in October of the previous year.

The movie “Selfiee,” which will be released on February 24, 2023, also stars Akshay. Diana Penty, Nushratt Bharuccha, and Emraan Hashmi will all play significant roles in the upcoming drama-comedy.

The Malayalam film “Driving License,” which starred Prithviraj and Suraj Venjaramoodu in the key roles, was remade in Hindi as “Selfiee.” For the remake, Akshay and Emraan will now play their original parts again. The project will be directed by filmmaker Raj Mehta. The late Aruna Bhatia, Hiroo Yash Johar, Supriya Menon, Karan Johar, Prithviraj Sukumaran, Apoorva Mehta, and Listin Stephen are responsible for producing it.

In the Hindi version of Suriya’s Tamil film “Soorarai Pottru,” Akshay will also appear alongside Radhika Madan. Paresh Rawal will reprise his role from the Tamil original in addition to Akshay and Radhika. In addition, director Sudha Kongara is back to helm this picture. In April, the shooting started. A release date has not yet been specified.
