Anandpal Death Case: Rajputs call off agitation as Rajasthan government allows CBI probe

The community also announced a roll back of state wide agitation which it had called starting July 22.

Big demands by the Rajput community met

  • The Rajasthan state government shall provide compensation to deceased and those injured during the protest rallies.
  • The state government shall also direct two cases to the CBI. Anandpal’s death and the Surendra Singh’s death in a firing at Sanvrad shall be directed to the CBI for investigation.
  • The government will furnish a post-mortem report of Anandpal within 24 hours of the application submitted by his family.
  • Shravan Singh’s house where Anandpal was killed became a hot spot. Shravan Singh will not be questioned and may take responsibility for the house.
  • Chinu, Anandpal’s daughter dwelling in Dubai would not face any hurdles on returning to India.
  • Not only this, all FIR’s lodged during the protests shall be withdrawn and the detainees are given bail.

Two FIRs have been registered, one in Ratangarh and another one in Sanvarad. “Both cases will be recommended to CBI and they will decide on further course of action,” said home minister Gulabchand Kataria.

“They are free to meet anyone and Shravan Singh or other responsible members may take responsibility of the house” added Kataria.

The government also extended support to the family members of a commando Sohan Singh, who got severely injured in cross firing between Anandpal and the police on June 24. Sohan was shifted to a private hospital in Gurugram.
