Anant Ambani, Mukesh and Nita Ambani’s son, married Radhika Merchant in a traditional ceremony on Thursday at the family’s Mumbai residence Antilla. According to media reports, celebrities such as Sachin Tendulkar and Kiran Rao attended the ceremony in addition to close friends and family.
The main wedding ceremony began with Ganesh puja, then Gol Dhana and Chunari Vidhi.
Radhika Merchant wore a golden lehenga to the ceremony, while Anant Ambani wore a blue suit.
The couple held their mehendi ceremony on Tuesday.
Radhika Merchant is the CEO of Encore Healthcare’s CEO, Viren Merchant. She graduated from New York University and is originally from Kutch, Gujarat. Radhika has been studying Bharatnatyam for eight years and is Guru’s disciple.
Radhika has been studying Bharatnatyam for eight years under Guru Bhavana Thakar of Shree Nibha Arts.
Radhika Merchant performed at the Ambanis’ ‘Arangetram’ ceremony in June last year at the Jio World Centre.
Anant Ambani attended Brown University in the United States. He is being groomed to take over the new energy business of his father, Mukesh, who runs the oil-to-telecom-to-retail conglomerate Reliance Industries Ltd.
Akash and Isha are the Ambanis’ other children.
Isha married Anand Piramal, heir to the Piramal Group, in 2018. Meanwhile, in March 2019, Akash married Russell Mehta’s daughter Shloka.
