Maruti Suzuki Baleno has always been in news with its various segments but after a leap of years, the new Baleno with high end features and muscular built is all set to roll the ride. This is all said by the 4200 bookings received by the premium hatchback’s car within two days of this car regional launch in Chennai. However, it appears that the seamless popularity is commendable among people and the loyal Baleno drivers who were driving this ride, are spreading the word.
The car which has been priced aggressively in the range of Rs 4.99 lakh – Rs 8.11 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi), the vehicle undercuts all of its rivals by Rs 36,000 to Rs 40,000.
According to the Executive director RS Kalsi, Marketing & sales of Maruti Suzuki “the company has been receiving overwhelming bookings for the hatchback. On the day of launch itself, over 1,500 people visited showroom and 600 of them booked the car. The next day, over 1,200 people booked the car.”
Apart from the competitive pricing there are some other features that are blowing the minds of many and making them to grab a hold of this car. It is the only product in this segment that offers dual airbags, anti-lock braking system (ABS) and electronic brake force distribution (EBD) even on its entry-level trim. The top-of-the-line trim also offers several segment-first features such as LED daytime running lamps, tail lamps with LED strip, Apple Car Play infotainment system with 7-inch touch screen display, etc.
Coming to the engine this Baleno come with two engines one with a 1.2-litre K-series petrol and a 1.3-litre multijet diesel unit – both of which also power the Dzire and Swift. It possess a 5 speed manual gearbox which comes standard. Apart from that the Delta petrol trim can be bought with a CVT automatic gearbox as well.
