UP CM Yogi Adityanath visited Taj Mahal after the controversy over the place

Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath today visited the historic Taj Mahal on Thursday after the controversy over its place in Indian heritage.

The first BJP CM visited Taj, after the party’s leaders and ministers made provocative statements against the symbol of love.

CM Adityanath reached the airport in morning and took part in a cleanliness drive near Western Gate of the Taj Mahal. Wearing a mask, yellow gloves and a broom, Adityanath with his 500 BJP members, swept parking area and promote the Swachh Bharat mission.

Accompanied by officials, security persons and supporters, Supporters greeting him with chants of “Bharat Mata ki Jai” and “Vande Mataram”. Adityanath spend about 45 minutes in Taj Mahal.

CM Adityanath said “Taj Mahal was built by the blood and sweat of Indian labourers. The onus of its security & preservation lies on our shoulders”.

“Everyday 40,000-50,000 tourists come to Agra, if we can provide them adequate security, the number will rise to 2.5 Lakh – 3 Lakh.”

The Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has already declared that the government will spend Rs 370 crore on development plans which aimed to promote tourism in of the Taj.

Along with the visit, Adityanath will inaugurate various development projects in the city of Taj, according to an official spokesperson.
