The state government has left no stone unturned to celebrate the state’s foundation day. Government has planned a full packed schedule for the four day event. The Rajasthan Diwas
The state of Rajasthan was founded on 30th March 1949 and ever since then the day is celebrated as the Rajasthan Diwas. It is celebrate with great pride to evoke the existence of the residents of the state as rajasthanis. Every year the day is celebrated with high passion and zeal throughout the state. The celebration is a great effort to divulge and honor the heritage, history, culture and traditions of the state. The vigorous citizens of the state always put across their joy every day through numerous different gleaming ways in their life. In any way, they liven up their ethnicity through majestic celebrations and festivities. This year too, the citizens of Rajasthan are all pumped up to celebrate Rajasthan Diwas in a splendid manner throughout the state starting from March 27th to 30th March, 2016. In spirit, Rajasthan Diwas is more than just the celebration of the “Rajasthan Foundation Day”.
Contribution of Rajasthan Tourism
The tourism department of the state is responsible for organizing several cultural, traditional, sports and religious events in the city throughout the 4 day event. Tourism plays a crucial role in generating revenue for the state government and thus greater efforts are made to attract tourists from the country and overseas as well throughout the year. Great emphasis is paid on the tourist destinations of the city during the festival and everything is taken care of so as to make it a memorable experience for the visitors. Spotlights of the Rajasthan Diwas Gala 2016
As the state government is set to throw at the visitors a marvelous 4 day event, the people of the state are too ready for adding colors to the event with their high zest and gusto. The event commenced on 27th March 2016 with a grand opening ceremony, a ‘Run for Rajasthan’ and a BSF Camel Tattoo Show organized at the JDA Polo Ground in the city. The 4 day event has covered all the aspect of the society be it cultural, religious, sports, entertainment, children, art etc. Let’s have a look categorically at what has the government planned for the residents and the tourists in the coming days.
Religious
State government has planned bhajans in the evenings at Moti Dungri Ganesh Ji Temple, Khole ke Hanuman Ji Temple and Govind Dev Ji Temple on 28th March, 29th March and 30th March respectively keeping mind the devotees of the state. These are among the most celebrated temples of the city and holds historical significance and great importance when it comes to religious festivals and celebrations.
Cultural
Rajasthan is known for its varied culture and traditions within the state and thus the government of the state has put its best foot forward in order to organize as many as possible cultural programs in the 4 day event. International Festival of Short Films on Culture and Tourism by Indian Infotainment Media Corporation at the JKK (Jawahar Kala Kendra) has been organized on 28th, 29thand 30th of March where short films which were selected from a lot will be screened for the audiences. These short movies hold social messages that must be spread all over. Apart from this a Dastangoi by Ankit Chadha and Darain Shahidi is organized at the famous Birla Auditorium on 28th March and Qawwali at the Mosque in Subhash Chowk is also organized on 29th March to enthrall the audience. As we said the state government has left nothing and so has also planned an Odissi Classical Dance program by noted dancers ( Colleena Shakti, Padmashri Sujata Mohapatra, Somya Bose at the Birla Auditorium. Also, a heritage Fashion Show by BiBi Russel has been organized at the Albert Hall.
Sports
To promote the youth of the state to be more participative in sports, the government has organized several sports events at the JDA Polo Ground. On 28th and 29th of March, Tirandazi (Archery) and Run for Rajasthan and a Golf Tournament are planned. Also, to highlight the Indian origin games, programs like Kabaddi, Kho-Kho, Sitolia, Gilli Danda, Rumal Jhapatta are organized for both boys and girls.
Children
Kids are the future of the country and they are very vital part of the society. Special programs for the children of the state have been planned. On 28th and 29th March a Children’s Film Festival which comprises of 4 shows each day have been organized at the Inox, Crystal Palm Multiplex.
Defense
Army is the pride of the nation. Every now and then Army have given us reasons to salute it even higher and thus to honor and celebrate the bravery and the hardship that the army people do, the state government on 28th and 29th March has scheduled an Army pageant by Indian Army, Horse show, Dog Show, Para Troopers, Para Motors show and a Mass Band Display at the JDA Polo Ground.
Entertainment
While everything was planned and scheduled how could have the government forgotten the youth of the state and thus has organized several entertainment shows in the evenings. The bollywood sensation Arijit Singh would perform live for the audience at the Albert Hall on 28th March. With his majestic voice he will stun the public humming and singing his melodious hit songs. On 29th March, another grand evening has been scheduled where noted Bollywood singers Saleem-Suleman and the pride of Rajasthan Bhanwari Devi will perform live mesmerizing the public.
