Film Padmavat will not be released in Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh and Gujarat

The challenges in release of Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Padmavat are still prevailing. There is a constant demand that film should be absolutely banned. Although the name of the film has been changed from Padmavati to Padmavat, the film is still facing opposition in Rajasthan. Rajasthan state has totally banned release of the movie. Well.. Rajasthan is not the only state to ban this. Madhya Pradesh has also banned the release.

At one of the events, Madhya Pradesh’s CM Shivraj Singh Chouhan stated that the movie Padmavat won’t release in MP. Following his league, the Chief Minister of Gujarat also asserted that Padmavat will not be released in Gujarat too. Vijay Rupani has also denied the release of Deepika’s Padmavat in his state.

Padmavat is in controversy and faced continuous opposition from various Hindu communities. It is claimed by Rajput Karni Samaj that filmmakers have tampered with the history in the movie. The Rajput communities claimed that film has some objectionable content. The filmmakers have made lengthy discussions with the CBFC and made some cuts but the film is still banned.

The film is set to release on 25 January starring Deepika Padukone, Ranveer Singh and Shahid Kapoor.
