Mumbai Police have filed a FIR against movie director Anurag Kashyap after actress Payal Ghosh blamed him for sexual unfortunate behavior in 2013, an authority said on Wednesday.

Mr. Kashyap has excused the claims as “outlandish”.

The First Information Report (FIR) was enrolled at Versova police headquarters late Tuesday night after the actress alongside her attorney Nitin Satpute moved toward the police, the authority said.

The FIR was enrolled under Indian Penal Code Sections 376 (I) (assault), 354 (attack or criminal power to lady with expectation to shock her unobtrusiveness,), 341 (illegitimate limitation) and 342 (unfair constrainment), the authority stated, including that further examination is in progress.

Kashyap will be called for addressing regarding the supposed seven-year-old occurrence, he said.

In her police protest, the actress asserted that Kashyap assaulted her at a spot on Yari Road in Versova in 2013.

Actress Payal and her legal counselor prior drew nearer Oshiwara police headquarters here on Monday, yet they were approached to go to the Versova police headquarters as the supposed occurrence occurred under its territory of purview, the authority said.

They had moved toward the Oshiwara police as Kashyap’s office is situated around there.

Satpute in a tweet late Tuesday night stated, “At last FIR has been stopped against Accused of the offense Rape, Wrongful Restraint, Wrongful Confinement and offending the humility of a lady.”

On Saturday, the entertainer took to Twitter, asserting that Kashyap was explicitly wrong towards her, a charge the chief called “unmerited”.

Kashyap considered the entertainer’s case an endeavor to “quietness” him for his blunt perspectives.

His legal advisor prior in a tweet stated, “My customer, Anurag Kashyap, has been profoundly tormented by the bogus claims, these are totally bogus, pernicious and exploitative.”

Earlier, Anurag Kashyap ex-wife Kalki Koechlin jumped in his protection and posted an statement on her social media accounts which read,

“Dear Anurag, don’t let this social media circus get to you, you have fought for the freedom of women in your scripts, you have defended their integrity in your professional space as well as in your personal life. I have been witness to it. In the personal and professional space, you have always seen me as your equal. You have stood up for my integrity even after our divorce, and you have supported me when I felt unsafe in a work environment even before we got together. This strange time where everyone gets to abuse one another and make false claims without repercussions is a dangerous and repulsive one. It is destroying families, friends and countries. But there is a place of dignity that exists beyond this virtual bloodbath, a place of paying attention to the needs of those around you, a place of being kind even when no one is looking. And I know you are very familiar with that place. Hang on to that dignity, stay strong and keep doing the work you do. Love from an ex wife.”
