Indira Gandhi Medical College To Have Super Specialty Cardiology Wings In Hospital

Indira Gandhi Medical College and Hospital in Shimla is soon likely to own a special zone in the form of super-specialty cardiology which will be dedicated to assist the patients from the neighbouring states to Himachal Pradesh for the treatment. The announcement was made by Himachal Pradesh CM, Virbhadra Singh on this last Saturday.
The announcement was made during the medical education programme or conference of the cardiology department where Himachal CM said, “The IGMCH has grown to a stature of a modern and prestigious medical institute in the country and is now ready to be re-shaped into a centre of excellence”.

The super specialty wing typically has all sort of high end medical facilities, which includes ICU facilities, OP and IP wing, theater facilities and all other aids needed for complete medical treatment.


The decision has been taken to groom up the hospital facilities on the occasion of its golden jubilee celebration.
With a view of providing elite level development to medical facilities of the state, the state government has taken this decision to upgrade the technology levels of IGMCH to provide best ever treatment experience to the visitors.

To this pioneer step, Himachal CM promptly mentioned, “I want to have a full-fledged cardiology wing so that the people may not have to visit far-off places for heart ailments”.
