Indian Premier League (IPL) is about to start. This year it is coming with its 11th edition. Starting on April 7, the event creates an excitement amongst viewers. This year also many Bollywood celebs will grace the stage. This time Varun Dhawan, Ranveer Singh, Jacqueline Fernandez, and Parineeti Chopra would be the part of opening night’s glittering affair. In fact, there are news regarding highest paid star for the opening night. Well.. Ranveer was the highest paid contender but as per the recent reports, he is not the one.

Among the actors who are performing this time, Varun Dhawan has marched ahead of Ranveer Singh in terms of remuneration. Padmavat’s actor Ranveer Singh has been given around Rs 5 crore for the night while Varun has got much more than him. Exact figures are not revealed yet. His fee is somewhere close to Rs 6 crore.
Know the reasons behind this change
As Varun is quite popular and has connection with the junta so these factors made him the highest paid actor amongst all stars. The organizers feel that this younger generation actor has maximum number of chartbusters in his track record.
Nowadays, Varun is busy in promoting October. He is also shooting for film Sui Dhaaga. To rehearse for the performance at the IPL opening night, Varun has taken two days off from shoot.
