Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur on Wednesday said that 50-60 individuals could be caught in the debris following an avalanche in the Kinnaur region. Four individuals including the driver and conductor of the transport caught in the debris have been protected.

ITBP representative Vivek Pandey educated that around 200 jawans regarding 3 regiments of the focal power are where an avalanche is occurring.

“The groups are hanging tight for over one hour for the shooting stones to stop. It is accepted that around 40 individuals are caught. The region is at present extremely perilous,” he said.
