We have to make a Rajasthan which is young, modern, and corruption free: CM Raje

Rajasthan Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje addressed a huge gathering on the 71st state level Independence Day function at Sawai Mansingh Stadium.

“Team Rajasthan is working tirelessly to eradicate economic-social inequality and discrimination in the state,” CM Raje said.

“True independence is achieved when every child got the compulsory education, every person had access to free healthcare, every deprived person got justice and youth had employment opportunities,” she added.

CM Raje also paid tribute to the freedom fighters and martyrs who laid out their lives for the future of India.

The Chief Minister said we were heading towards a new Rajasthan which was prosperous, self-respecting, corruption and casteism free and free from feticide, illiteracy, and poverty as well.

“We have to make a Rajasthan which is young and modern, a Rajasthan which we envisaged in our vision document presented to the public on 13 December 2013”, she said.

Announcements by CM Raje in Independence Day Speech 

Raje made a series of important announcements which were aimed at benefitting the people of Rajasthan, especially women, children, and farmers.

CM Raje launched a new helpline number ‘181’ which will be available to the public. The portal can be used to lodge public grievances. The complaint will be redressed timely, be it regarding water, power, road or water.

Disbursement of farmer loans worth Rs 200 crores to women associated with cooperative committees is another bonus point for all the women. About 3.5 lakh women would be benefitted by this.

Additionally, a special bonus was announced for women milk-producer cooperatives. CM Raje introduced a 2% interest rate on loans of farmers who are storing their production in the cooperative godowns.

The beneficial Annapurna Rasoi will open up at all major localities across the state. Gramin Gaurav Path scheme will envisage construction of about 2,000 cement roads and missing links. A budget of about 1200 crores has been allocated for this purpose.

During next financial year another Rs. 1500 crore would be spent under this scheme, she added.
