Rajasthan gears up for GRAM Kota – a Mega Agricultural event; Minister of Agriculture okays arrangements

The Kota district of Rajasthan is all set to host a 3-day mega Agri event, the news of which has made all farmers elated. Slated to begin on May 24, Kota Agri meet will be a mélange of everything needed by the farmers, for the farmers.

With not much time left in hand, the Minister for Agriculture, Dr. Prabhu Lal Saini today reviewed preparations for the event.

Sources said that over 30,000 farmers are likely to attend the event. The event will be held at the RAC Parade Ground. It is being organized by the Government of Rajasthan and Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce & Industry (FICCI).

FICCI presented a comprehensive and detailed Power Point Presentation which entailed various aspects like the inaugural session, exhibition, smart farm, conferences, among others.

The Minister checked and monitored the progress rate at which the preparations were progressing. The minister expressed satisfaction after taking a look at all the sites where the event programs will be held. He inspected the respective areas for exhibition, inaugural session, seminars and jajam baithak.

The speakers invited to address and interact will have an open platform to interact with the farmers. These speakers will also answer farmer’s queries regarding crop production.

To ensure that language doesn’t become a barrier to realizing the objective of this meet, translators and interpreters should also be present at the event, the minister suggested.

Dr. Saini further directed that live demonstrations must be ensured at the Smart Farm being set up at the event. The Minister also emphasised that opportunities for collaboration should be explored for olive processing units along with introducing pistachio cultivation in the region.

The minister also flagged off a rally of auto rickshaws with the logo of GRAM on them at Tagore Bhawan. Principal Secretary Agriculture and Horticulture. Not only this, Ms. Neelkamal Darbari exchanged words with the potential investors of agriculture and other ancillary sectors.

Members of the Legislative Assembly, Mr. Prahlad Gunjal, Mr. Bhawani Singh Rajawat, Mr. Heera Lal Nagar, Mr. Ashok Dogra and other senior officials of the Government and FICCI were also present at the event.
