There are speculations about the retirement of Mahendra Singh Dhoni. People were making guesses that 2011 World Cup winning captain MS Dhoni will soon retire from all formats of cricket. After this social media talks, Team India coach Ravi Shastri cleared all the doubts about MS Dhoni’s retirement. Know more.

As per statement made to TOI, Shashtri clarified the matter, saying, “MS wanted to show the ball to Bharat Arun. He wanted to show him the wear and tear the ball had endured, to get a general idea of what the conditions were like.” He also quashed all the media buzz on Twitter.

Ravi Shastri said, “That’s rubbish. MS is not going anywhere.”

What made people think so?
It all happened due to a video. At the end of the third ODI against England at the Headingley cricket ground in Leeds on Tuesday, Dhoni was seen taking the match ball from the umpires Bruce Oxenford (Australia) and Michael Gough (England). This made many to believe that about his retirement as he had done in 2014 by taking out the stump India and Australia’s Test draw. Few days later, he surprisingly announced retirement from Test cricket format.

India lost the series with 2-1 and that too, the third ODI by 8-wickets. The team was moving back to pavilion when he took the ball from umpires. This also gave people a reason to question his talent and made such kind of speculations.
