No, we won’t keep you guessing. The news of engagement has stemmed anger fumes in ‘Bharat’ movie co-producer Nikhil Namit. He also said it was “unprofessional” of Priyanka to have left the movie. Priyanka was set to start shooting for the film from mid-August, but the recent turn of events will weave a different story. Instead of shooting for the movie, the actress will be busy with her wedding which is slated to happen in October. PeeCee is expected to shoot for Shonali Bose’s ‘The Sky Is Pink’ in early-August.
The statement from Namit who is the CEO of Reel Life Productions said: “Priyanka told us she had to exit due to her engagement, two days ago. It was a little unprofessional of her to do it so suddenly.”
“Bharat” Director Ali Abbas Zafar said: “Yes Priyanka Chopra is no more part of @Bharat_TheFilm & and the reason is very very special , she told us in the Nick of time about her decision and we are very happy for her … Team Bharat wishes @priyankachopra loads of love & happiness for life.”
Nick is believed to have popped the question to Priyanka on their recent trip to London. The rumor also has it that Nick bought an expensive Tiffany & Co. engagement ring for PeeCee.
