Pink City Jaipur to host International smart city expo. Read Details

The city of Jaipur has come under the ambit of smart cities and rightly so. The pink city will be hosting the International Smart City Expo.

Pawan Kumar Goyal, additional chief secretary urban development said: “It will position Jaipur on International map with an even mix of international and national participants.”

This will be a three-day long event which will encompass representatives from across the globe. The expo will commence on September 26 and will be organised by the Jaipur Development Authority. The expo will be held in partnership with a few companies including the promoters of the World Smart City Expo.

The authorities working at the city level are working their way to make this a huge success. At the last World Expo, the Jaipur city could make it to the top six smart cities.

This time around, the authorities will be showcasing their abilities with even more vigour. The expo will be inaugurated by the vice-president of India Venkaiah Naidu, chief minister of Rajasthan Vasundhara Raje, urban development minister Shrichand Kriplani and governor of South Australia. These guests will be joined by many other guests from across the globe.

Pawan Kumar Goyal and Jaipur development commissioner Vaibhav Galariya held a press conference pertinent to this expo on Thursday morning. Alongside, it is the Rajasthan urban development department which has decided to support the event activities.

“We plan to take the delegates on a visit to the projects being developed in the city, like the Dravyawati riverfront and others,” said the development commissioner.

The officials will be experiencing a little trouble due to the current construction and metro work. The expo is going to be a grand success, as all other world expos. The big feat is that the beautiful city Jaipur has made itself so powerful and competent to organize this.
