PM Modi flags off Hyderabad Metro Rail

Today PM Modi has launched the first phase of Hyderabad Metro Rail project. It is a 30-km long first phase of the project which connects Miyapur and Nagole. There are 24 stations covered in this route. This railway project is the world’s largest public-private partnership (PPP) in the sector. The commercial operations of the Metro project will begin from November 29.

Of this Hyderabad Metro Rail, the first passengers of the first journey are PM Modi, Mr. Rao and Governor ESL Narasimhan. Talking about the fares of the metro, the minimum fare is ₹10 while the maximum is ₹60. There is also facility of Metro Smart cards. Commuters can obtain these cards by depositing an amount of ₹100. The running time of Metro train will be 6 am to 10 pm initially. This can be rescheduled too if needed.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi also unveiled the mobile app ‘TSavaari’ for transportation. This app helps the users to get all the information about all modes of transportation like TSRTC bus, MMTS train, and metro trains.

In fact, this Hyderabad Metro will use an advanced Communication Based Train Control technology (CBTC). It is the first time, CBTC technology will be used in India.
