PM Modi Inaugurates India’s second-largest highway in Bikaner

Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the Delhi-Jaipur-Mumbai Expressway on Saturday in Bikaner, Rajasthan. The 1,380-kilometer-long expressway is the second-longest in India after the Golden Quadrilateral. The expressway was built at a cost of over Rs 1 lakh crore and is expected to reduce travel time between Delhi and Mumbai by up to eight hours.

It will also boost economic activity in the region by providing better connectivity to industrial centers and tourist destinations. Modi, who was accompanied by Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot, said the expressway would “transform the lives of people in Rajasthan and the entire country.” He also said that the expressway would help boost tourism in the region. The expressway was inaugurated amid heavy rain in Bikaner. However, the rain did not dampen the spirits of the people who had gathered to witness the event.

The expressway is expected to generate employment for over 1 lakh people during its construction and operation. It will also help reduce pollution by reducing the number of trucks on the road. The inauguration of the expressway is also a major achievement for the government. The project was completed on time and within budget, which is a testament to the government’s commitment to infrastructure development. The expressway is a major step forward in the government’s efforts to improve connectivity and boost economic growth.
