India and Bhutan are all set to welcome their esteemed guests from Britain, Prince William and Duchess Kate Middleton. Both these guests will be on an official tour and it’s their maiden trip to India beginning from 10th of April.

Unlike their last official trip to Australia in 2014, when they travelled with their only child Prince George, this time the royal couple is coming without their two kids. In a way suggesting this trip to be more serious and particularly official for all the involved nations.

Before them it was only British royalty who visited India, and she was Princess Diana who after her divorce with Prince Charles  was seen getting photographed with Taj Mahal in the background.

William and Kate have said that “Our visit is intended to create new and happier memories and we are traveling without our two children, accompanied instead by a big entourage, extremely heavy security and with a packed schedule full of high-profile events.

Their 7 days tour will be jam packed with back to back meetings and events. Beginning from Mumbai,  the royalty will watch a cricket match, meet up with local NGOs, visit a slum, attend a charity gala reception and dine with an A-list of stars Bollywood actors like Shah Rukh Khan and Aishwarya Bachchan an also cricket legend Sachin Tendulakar, all of these in many ways represent the  “modern India’s version of Royalty”.
