From domestic corporate to startups, NGOs and MNCs, the staff in all Indian companies will be equipped with tips and tricks to combat terrorism and crimes in India…

Terrorism doesn’t follow any religion, rule or law. These days, whenever you open newspapers or switch on your television set, you’ll find ongoing terrorist attacks in different parts of the world. The problem is prevalent not just in India but the entire world. People are really frightened of terrorism. Over the years, it has emerged as a notorious social issue that threatens the public as well as the government. Several factors like illiteracy, religious extremism, poverty, frustration, lack of opportunities give way to crimes and terrorism. It’s hard to eliminate this problem in a fortnight.

To fight terrorism, every single entity in the country, including politicians, business industries, general public and organizations need to come together. It’s essential to understand the underlying cause behind terrorism in order to eliminate it permanently.

A couple of private Indian organizations like Netrika Consulting Private, Guarwell Detective Services and Pinkerton have already started their fight against terrorism in India. They’re running staff training programs on fraud detection, employment screening and crime prevention etc. In time, the training has garnered good response from clients. These courses were run by CATS (Certified Anti Terrorism Specialist).

The courses cover specialized areas like assessment of suspicious behavior, criminal investigation, political violence, criminal profiling, people surveillance and terrorist activities. The specialists include practical as well as theoretical classes.

According to Sanjay Kaushik (MD, Netrika Consulting), they’ve trained approximately 100 agencies, such as Reliance Securities, Flipkart, MYLAN, PayPal, Godrej, Bajaj Automobiles, Bosh and Vodafone etc. Even big institutions like RBI (Reserve Bank of India) are turning to this idea. This Saturday, the representatives of many IT firms like Capgemini, Oracle, IBM, Hero MotorCorp and CA technologies have participated in a 3-day training program.

Over the years, the trainers run programs in Chennai, Gurgaon, Mumbai, Delhi and other cities. This may be a small step, but it’ll yield positive results in future. Indian firms and runners of anti-terrorism programs are hopeful that it’ll not just create awareness but also help people cope with crimes and terrorism in society.
