₹ 100 note will soon be available in a new design. Apex Bank i.e. Reserve Bank of India will soon issue lavender-coloured new Rs 100 notes. This will be an addition to the list of new notes introduced after demonetization in year 2016. It will join the list of new designs of Rs 200, Rs 500, Rs 10 issued. In the note, there are motif of the ‘Rani Ki Vav’ stepwell in Gujarat and slogan and logo of Swachh Bharat. Know more.

RBI has made it clear that earlier series will be continued as legal tender. The supply and distribution of new note will gradually increase through banking channels.

Interesting facts about ₹ 100 new note
This is the first note to be made entirely of Indian material. The new Rs 100 note was designed in the BRBNM Design Studio, Mysore. It has been designed in India, printed on currency paper in India, ink used is of India as well as security features have been made by Indian companies. The dimension of the note is different from the existing one. The new note will be 66mm*142mm.

This new note has many new notable features. The new notes are Lavender-coloured and have 16 silent features — back and front. Check them out.
