The security arrangements at Amritsar Airport under a question mark as a suspicious bag was found onboard a Spice jet flight which had arrived from Dubai on Thursday morning. It instantly heated up the atmosphere and the security guards overtake the whole Sri Guru Ram Dass Jee International Airport.
After the information poured in, the flight was immediately taken to an isolation bay and then searched completely.
Spice Jet Flight 56, which had departed from Dubai at 4.05 am, landed today morning at 8.51 am in Amritsar. Media reports say that the Air Traffic Control was alerted after the bag was discovered unattended by the Spice Jet flight crew. Recently, there has been a spate of hoax calls, threatening about bombs at various places. Although inspections are going on inside the flight and investigations on the location and identity of the caller is also in place. Hoax callers are liable to be punished by law. Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) has also taken the matter seriously and is investigating the situation along with the state police of Punjab.
