Details about cleanliness drive or Swachh Survekshan
In 2018, Swachh Survekshan is conducted for around 4,200 cities out of which Indore is at the top. It is also needed to be understood that Swachh Survekshan is not just about collecting feedback from citizens and verification of general cleanliness in a city but its more about achieving benchmarks. Both Indore and Bhopal have maintained their ranks at top two positions like last year.
It is due to combined efforts of the cities’ administration for making the cities clean. Alok Sharma, Bhopal’s mayor has broomed the roads and also picked garbage from an overflowing drain. Municipal corporation has worked on construction of toilets, meeting open defecation free (ODF) parameters to painting nearly every city wall with messages in support of Swachh Bharat Mission.

A tale of two cities!
The way Indore & Bhopal retain the Top-2 spots is a commendable feat. I want to congratulate the citizens, ULB’s, Mayors & elected representatives of the two cities & MP CM @ChouhanShivraj for his leadership.
All it takes is a good CM to change the state. pic.twitter.com/0KWXUU1heT— Hardeep Singh Puri (@HardeepSPuri) May 16, 2018
