Those who are willing to the visit the monument of architectural pride Taj Mahal must get complete information about new entry norms. There are few changes made by Archaeological Survey of India (ASI) regarding entry to Taj. As per the notice issued by ASI, the entry to Taj Mahal will be restricted to only three hours starting from Sunday i.e. 1 April, 2018.

Reasons behind this decision
In the notice issued by ASI, it says that the decision was taken to reduce “human load” on the fragile, 17th-century monument of love which has started showing signs of fatigue and ageing.

In fact, this white marble mausoleum has huge footfall. It has now become difficult for CISF to manage crowd. Talking about the holidays and weekends the number of visitors exceeded 50,000. This figure is recorded after excluding children below 15 years who can enter for free.

Further, the ASI sources said the modalities were being worked out as extra staff would be needed to check tickets and enforce new timing instructions.
