He is one of the versatile actors of the Indian film industry. He is an actor who has served the entertainment industry with its different role. No matter what the genre is, he fits into every role. He is presently serving as Chairman of Film and Television Institute of India (FTII). Yes… he is Anupam Kher.

Born 7 March 1955, Anupam Kher is celebrating his 63rd birthday this year. He has worked in more than 500 films in several languages. Veteran actor has mainly worked in Hindi films and has also appeared in acclaimed international films. He has always surprised the audience with the power-packed performances. In fact, his recent work carries more depth. He has also hosted the shows like ‘Say Na Something To Anupam Uncle’, ‘Sawaal Dus Crore Ka’ and ‘The Anupam Kher Show – Kucch Bhi Ho Sakta Hai’.

His wife Kirron Kher is an Indian actress as well as Member of the Indian Parliament. He was born in Kashmiri Pandit family in Shimla, Himachal Pradesh. He is an alumnus of the National School of Drama.

Awards and Honours
He has won the Filmfare Award multiple times. He had held the post of chairman of the Central Board of Film Certification and the National School of Drama in India. For his contribution in the field of cinema and arts, he has been honoured the Padma Shri in 2004 and the Padma Bhushan in 2016.

Recently, he has been invited by the prestigious London School of Economics (LSE) to speak at the LSE SU India Forum (LIF) 2018. This is a forum for discussing major issues face by contemporary India.
