Priyanka Chopra rose to fame after appearing in the 2015 television series Quantico, but she had previously appeared in a few music videos while attempting to establish herself as an international music artist.

PC tried to showcase her singing talent with songs like ‘In My City’ and ‘Exotic,’ but she eventually focused on her acting career in the West. Priyanka recently discussed why she moved to the West in the first place, despite being one of the top actors in Hindi cinema.

The Citadel actor revealed on Dax Shepherd’s podcast Armchair Expert that she was being “cornered” in Bollywood. People were not casting her, so she was up against some opposition.

She was up against some opposition because no one was casting her in movies, and she also had some “beef” with people in the industry. Anjula Acharia, her manager, came to her aid at that point. Acharia saw her in a music video and called her to see if she was interested in pursuing a music career in the United States.

Priyanka said she jumped at the chance, especially because she was looking for ways to get away from Bollywood. “I was being pushed into a corner in the industry,” she explained. (Bollywood). I was tired because people weren’t casting me, I had disagreements with people, and I’m not very good at that game.

“This music thing allowed me to go into another part of the world, not crave movies I didn’t want to get, but I would be required to schmooze certain clubs and cliques of people,” she continued. It would require groveling, and I had worked so long by then that I didn’t want to do it.”

Priyanka had previously stated in an interview that there was a time when people in the Indian film industry did everything they could to keep her from working.

“There have been people who wanted to jeopardize my career, take away from my work, and make sure I wasn’t cast just because I was doing well in what I was doing,” she said on The Ranveer Show.
