When Pakistan Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif made Kashmir the basis of his response to the terrorist attacks on India at the 71st session of United Nations General Assembly, India’s External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj not just countered Pakistan on Kashmir, but also outlined India’s vision for the world.
In her 20-minute long speech, she talked point-to-point and bluntly dismissed Nawaz Sharif’s claim on Kashmir at the UNGA by saying: “Kashmir is an integral part of India and it will remain an integral part of India. No one can take it away by force. Pakistan should stop dreaming.”
The rage for the recent terrorist attack at the army base in Uri which killed 18 Indian soldiers was evident in her speech on anti-terrorism. She further urged the UNGA to isolate countries that harbour terrorists.
