10 Reasons Why Working On Saturdays Is The Worst Thing Ever!

That was the longest weekend, I can’t wait to back to work tomorrow, said no one ever. Working on weekends is like the worst thing you could do in your life. Every Saturday working individual would agree with me on this. Growing up, we always thought that working in the adulthood would be so much fun, but now that we are living that phase, we know the struggle. It really hurts when everyone else is like, “Yay! It’s Friday” and we are sitting on our desks in office wondering do we really have a life left? Those who think Mondays are bad, darlings, try working for weekends and you’ll know the real pain. Just when you thought you could relax for the weekend, Surprise! It’s work to screw you af and ruin that idea. For those who think what big deal if you work 6 days a week, you guys still got SUNDAY to relax and chill with friends, this is for all of you. We aren’t left with much to do on a Sunday other than just sitting and waiting for MONDAY to come again and screw up our lives. If you are still not convinced, here are 12 reasons why working SATURDAYS is the worst thing ever:

  • We can’t plan out for parties on Saturdays as well, remember we have to work.2

  • Slowly and gradually our friend circle diminishes and we are left all alone because we don’t socialize much.3

  • While the rest of the world is relaxing after their Friday nights, and even our maids are late, we are the ones who wake up early and leave for our offices, AGAIN.4

  • Friday night don’t bring in a lot of excitement for us. We have lost it. Because there’s no point in that. After all, unlike a few, we have to get up early and head to our offices.10

  • Facebook status and pictures of our friends celebrating and living their lives too cannot help as all we are left to do is staring at our computer screens.5

  • Even if a day (fortunately) comes when you get a Saturday off, nobody calls us presuming that we are probably at work and when we call others to be a part of a plan, sorry, but we are late.6

  • We cannot be a part of weekend trips. We are always excluded because we only have one day, where can we go?7

  • Whenever we have to go to a bank, we need to either take an off or a half day, because we work for the entire week and banks aren’t open on SUNDAYS.9

  • We aren’t paid extra for complete extra 52 days (Saturdays) that we work for.10 (1)

  • We only have Sundays to complete all our pending household chores which means we are working on Sundays as well.
