The Kila Raipur Sports Festival, also popularly known as the as Rural Olympics is just around the corner and the participants are super excited. The festival will be held in Punjab, India.
This is not an ordinary festival. Not only humans, even fauna, and animals participate in this festival with full force. Animals like camels, dogs, mules, and bullocks will be the category of animals which will participate in this festival. The competition encompasses a slew of sports activities including rope pulling, cart-race, amongst other Punjabi rural sports and other regional sports.The Rural Olympics spews a rural mela spirit. It comprises with sport events like kabaddi competition, races on the track, cart races, tent pegging and hockey matches.

To set the tune for a lively event, a melody of Punjabi folk songs play aloud across the festival. Kabaddi games also form an important part of the festival. Not only that, even Hockey forms a crucial part of the festival.
