For us Indians, every month has at least 5-6 festivals to celebrate and if Indian government were to declare a public holiday for each one of them then all working people would literally have a ball. Now since this cannot happen EVER and the way jugaadu we Indians are, we have brilliantly compensated the festival feels by making our wedding celebrations into nothing less than grand extravaganzas. From decorations to other preparations everything is seen with utmost attention and perfect pomp and show as far as our budget allows us. But sometimes god tries to have some fun during weddings and we don’t know why he chooses our Indian weddings to have a ball himself. May be we are his favorites and to give us embarrassingly funny moments is his part time job. Because it is we who ask for God’s presence throughout the matrimonial ceremonies and God, the busy entity he is, tends to get bored in our never ending traditions. Thus if you see the bride falling down, or a grooms pants kept undone then it’s not their fault man, it just the almighty having some fun and c’mon every incident like this cracks us up and by us we are not including the participants of embarrassing brigade of wedding memories themselves. For them it’s undoubtedly a “oh my god” sort of situation.
Now you would think that the best part is occurrence of these funny accidents which take place during wedding shenanigans, but the thankful presence of videographers who record these epic moments in their cameras is what we need to be given all the credits.
