Aamir Khan was attacked severely on his ‘intolerance’ remarks that he delivered. Aamir Khan views came into light where he confirmed his fear to stay in the country from the rising intolerance. Aamir received sharp criticism from BJP leaders who termed his comments being alarmist.
In an award function Khan spoke out “When I chat with Kiran at home, she asks, should we move out of India? That’s a disastrous and big statement for Kiran to make. She fears for her child. She fears what the atmosphere around us will be…That does indicate that there is this sense of growing disquiet, there is growing despondency apart from alarm.”
On his comment there was a pin-point criticism received from various BJP leaders and several members of film, fraternity. Anupam Kher was the first one who commented on Aamir Khan Views. Anupam Kher last month took a rally in Delhi against intolerance.
BJP leader Manoj Tiwari lashed out at the actor, saying he was ‘saddened and shocked’ by the Bollywood actor’s statement. “Aamir has said such a big thing and disgraced the nation. He has done a wrong thing,” Tiwari said.
Congress was nowhere away to shout loud at the Modi Government where party spokesperson Abhishek Manu Singhvi said “I only hope the government does not label Aamir as a Congressman. This is a voice of conscience; I hope it makes an impact.”
Congress vice president Rahul Gandhi backed Aamir’s comments and slammed those calling him “unpatriotic”. “Instead of branding all those who question the government and Modi ji as unpatriotic, anti national or ‘motivated’, the Centre should reach out to people to understand what’s disturbing them.”
Dear @aamir_khan. Did you ask Kiran which country would she like to move out to? Did you tell her that this country has made you AAMIR KHAN.
