Air India’s flight from Delhi to London had a same, yes same menu for almost 10 years. It is surprising that now, the airlines new chairman, Ashwani Lohani gets to know about his alarming issue and finally with his due permission some steps to bring changes in the menu will be taken officially. His statement on this matter is noted as, “I have delegated the power to regional offices to take decisions on such issues. They will have the power to decide on the menu”
Its not that the public loved the menu this much that they asked the authorities to never change it. But because it was from the administration’s side that menu alteration didn’t get any proper notice before.
To this matter other officials also gave in their defending statements. Where one said, “London is one of the most important routes for us and was one of the first destinations where we started operating the Dreamliner” and the other was reported saying, “In airline and hospitality business, you can’t let such issues drag on for years. The decision has to be quick and in line with the changing times. We have seen a new domestic start-up airline in India change its menu multiple times in the last one year after observing passenger demands”
