On the first day of the three Twenty20 Internationals against New Zealand on November 1 i.e. today, Indian cricket team is ready to bid farewell to left- handed bowler- pace Ashish Nehra. It is actually a great event as his last match will be played at Feroz shah Kotla, which is his home ground. Even, the sight screen of Feroz Shah Kotla read “Farewell Ashish Nehra”.

38 year old Nehra intimated his decision of retirement to chief coach Ravi Shastri and skipper Virat Kohli as per the source. The T20 match with New Zealand will be a great chance for Ashish Nehra to take retirement at the home ground. In fact, Ashish Nehra has become the second Indian cricketer after Sachin Tendulkar to be given the privilege to pick a day at his home ground to say goodbye.
