Yog Guru Baba Ramdev has added to the much debated ‘Bharat Mata Ki Jai’ controversy. A new controversy has erupted ever since the Yog Guru in a rally on Sunday said, “”If someone says that he won’t chant Bharat Mata Ki Jai even if his head is chopped off.. I want to say there is a rule of law and we respect the Constitution, otherwise we can cut hundreds and thousands of heads”.  He further added, “”People should be ashamed of talking such things and should give respect to their motherland,”

There are possibilities that he might have said this statement targeting Asaduddin Owasi. Owasi in the recent past said, “I won’t utter that (slogan) even if you put a knife to my throat.” Also, Devendra Fadnavis, the chief minister of Maharasthra earlier said, “Those unwilling to say ‘Bharat Mata Ki Jai’ have no right to stay in the country”.

Baba Ramdev passed this divisive comment in a peace rally saying I am honouring country and I am not against religion. On his outrageous comment, there is anger in the parties of the country and are demanding strict actions to be taken on him.
